LeEco Le 2 Pro: Is the Smartphone for Professionals?

The Indian budget and mid-ranged smartphone segments are currently overcrowded, but this is not stopping the various global and homegrown mobile phone manufacturers from launching even more models in this vast mobile market. Some mobile makers are saying that the market is saturated, but then they are into this rat race with their rivals and thus, constantly rolling out newer and more capable models to grab maximum attention.

Indian budget smartphone market is currently all for premium quality mobiles, which means that we are now getting latest smartphone models that look and feel premium with lots of great features and able specs while carrying surprisingly affordable price tags.

Well, this is no less than a revolution in the market. And this revolution has been brought by the intense market competition and the Chinese mobile companies. Chinese mobile makers such as Xiaomi, Lenovo, Meizu, LeEco and others are offering amazing new budget-mid-ranged handsets that people would have expected to carry really expensive tags even a couple of years back.

Among a multitude of Chinese mobile makers, LeEco made its mark in India with its amazing debut models Le 1s and Le Max in January this year. After receiving humongous response and success of its super affordable smartphone models in India through flash sales, LeEco went ahead launching the updated Le 1s Eco in May.

Now, the Chinese mobile maker is ready to launch many newer handsets in order to increase its portfolio and footprint in India. LeEco has launched three new smartphone models in its home market China – the LeEco Le 2, LeEco Le 2 Pro, and LeEco Le Max 2, which the company claims to be the world’s first smartphone models which have given a miss to the 3.5 mm audio jack to make way for the USB Type-C port.

In the Chinese market, the LeEco Le 2 has launched with a price tag of RMB 1099 (approximately Rs. 10,990), the Le 2 Pro which has launched with two storage versions has been tagged at starting RMB 1499 (approximately Rs. 14,900) and the Le Max 2 gets two variants and has been priced starting at RMS 2099 (approximately Rs. 20,099). These smartphone models from the house of LeEco might cost even cheaper when they actually launch in India.

Now, LeEco has been recently sending media invites for an event in Delhi that will take place on 8th of June 2016, and it is at this event that the company is most likely to introduce the new Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and the Le Max 2 models in the Indian market.

All the three new LeEco smartphone models namely, the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and the Le Max 2 come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS version right out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 5.6.01. The new LeEco Le 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch bezel less HD display, gets powered by a Deca core 2.3 GHz MediaTek Helio X20 SoC processor with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of onboard storage, 16 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera. The LeEco Le Max 2 comes with a larger 5.7 inch QHD bezel less screen, quad core 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 6 GB of RAM, 21 MP rear snapper and 8 MP selfie camera.

Now, in this article we are going to look more closely at the LeEco Le 2 Pro to consider what all it is going to be packed with and what benefits the smartphone model will offer to the users.
