Top Gadgets to buy in 2012
The year 2012 will be a great year for gadget enthusiastics! Lots of hot products and devices will emerge, attracting attention and of course grabbing the money of consumers, particularly those that want to have first the gadgets. While some technology companies deliberately have not revealed their plans for the new year in order to surprise the competition, many gadgets have either been officially announced or leaked (willingly or not). Below is a selection we made.
This will be a new category of small laptops that will eventually replace netbooks by offering the same features for less money.
2. Fourth Generation Mobile (4G):
Various manufacturers will release devices with higher broadband capabilities and so 4G will be essential.
3. Nintendo Wii U
A new attempt by the Japanese company to grab the attention of gamers with a new system that will have a new type of controller with integrated touch screen, allowing the player to continue playing even if the TV screen is closed. The new game-console will support HD 1080p and will be compatible with accessories and software for video games from previous Wii models.
4. Sony Playstation Vita
The next portable gaming console by the Japanese company will have touchscreen graphics even better than PS3 will also have 3G. Sony wants this device to be the dominant devices in portable gaming.
5. IPad mini
This will be a miniature of the popular Apple iPad with seven-inch screen. Most probably it will cost less than IPad so it will be a strong competitor against Kindle Fire and Nook.
6. IPad 3
This will probably occur just before the spring and it will have a higher resolution screen that the previous one and a much faster processor.
7. IPhone 5
It is expected to appear either in summer or autumn, with a new design and it possibly have support for fourth generation (4G) networks.
8. Apple iTV
Apple will now enter the television market with a new device that promises to change TV as we know it.
9. Kindle Fire 2
The successful commercial e-reader of Amazon will have some improved features, and it is likely that it will be quite cheaper than the iPad.
10. Nook Tablet 2
Company Barnes & Noble will show, probably in the autumn, an improved version of the color e-reader’s Nook, which is a basic competitor of Amazon Kindle.
